Positive and Negative Pressure Isolation Rooms Engineering

Room pressurization is an important feature of ventilation system for hospitals which can control airborne particles movement.

If patient in immuno-suppressed like in case of bone marrow transplant patients, burn patients, and oncology patients, etc., a positive pressure suite is required to protect the patient from air-borne particles which can be hazardous for the patient. HEPA filter is supplied to the patient which is free of particles which can carry most viruses and bacteria. If patient has communicable disease such as tuberculosis, meningitis, etc., a negative pressure suite is required to protect doctor/nursing staff to acquire the infection.
